How Do The Versions Of CHASE Differ?

Offline: For in person sessions in your office.

Online: For virtual sessions. This is a HIPAA Compliant platform for telehealth sessions as CHASE runs on its own host server and comes with encrypted video and audio feed.

Full: Offers both OFFLINE and ONLINE versions.

Client Version: Included with purchase of ONLINE or FULL versions of CHASE. Links for the Client Versions will be sent upon purchase. All versions of CHASE available in either MAC or WINDOWS are fully compatible.

Can My Clients Use Their Version For Self-Administration?

No, the ONLINE platforms are designed so that the client cannot access the virtual room without it being created by their therapist.
Is This HIPAA Compliant?

Yes, CHASE uses an encrypted video and audio feed and runs on its own host server. There is no PHI collected or other client data stored on our website, or within the game.
Why Is There a Start Button Page?

This is where you set up your resource or target before starting the BLS.
Can The Clients Press The Start Button?

No, the client cannot press the START button on their screens. Nor can they forward any of the pages to move to the next screen, or adjust the speed or length of set.
What Options Can You Use For Adding Tactile BLS?

Clients can be invited to tap their feet or their hands or use butterfly hug to add more BLS. We are working on integrating tactile tappers for Chase and future IBD releases.
Why Is There a Save Button On The Evaluation Screen?

The save button is intended for therapists to keep track of SUDS and emotion ratings rated at the start of session. The thermometer rating scales are all reset to 0 once the client is navigated off of this page, so the timestamp offers a way for the therapist to remember what was rated earlier. A notepad document with a time stamp and the numbers rated will appear on the therapist’s desktop.
Why Doesn’t The Evaluation Screen Save The Responses Taken Earlier?

The SUDS and EMOTIONS ratings reset after the screen is closed so that the client isn’t reminded of their earlier ratings.
What Do The Hot Keys Do?

The hot keys are keyboard shortcuts that can be used to adjust the BLS settings while on the MAIN PAGE. After the START button is pushed, pressing any of these keys will do following:

R – restart set

P – pause/unpause set

F – faster (increases the speed of the foreground object)

S – slower (decreases the speed of the foreground object)

A – add time to the set (increases by 10 second increments)

Z – remove time from the set (decreases by 10 second increments)

E – evaluate – takes you to the evaluation screen to assess SUDS

C – control panel – takes you to the control panel screen where you can adjust settings
Can Chase Be Used On a Phone Or Tablet?

Chase is not recommended for use on phone or tablet.
What Is The Minimum Operating System For CHASE?

Windows 7 or Mac Mojave 10.14
What Are The Memory Requirements For CHASE?

For Windows – 350 mb

What Are The System Requirements For CHASE?

The size of the installer folder is between 75-80 mb

What If I Have a Windows Computer And My Clients Uses a MAC?

All versions of CHASE are compatible.
How come some of the clients buttons don’t work when they are pressed in the ONLINE version?

The software is designed so that only the therapist can have control over the BLS settings and the ability to forward the screens to the next page.
How come some of the therapist’s buttons don’t work when they are pressed in the ONLINE version?
